Everyone at Joey's Toy Drive is a volunteer, and we would love to have you join us this season. Whether you can give a single afternoon or several days, there is a place for you.
Inside Our San Jose Hub
A Day With Us
Collection boxes arrive full from businesses and schools across the Bay Area, and our sorting volunteers take it from there. You will unpack them, sort the toys by age, and get them ready for the nonprofits and agencies that pick them up before Christmas. It is hands-on, it moves quickly, and no experience is needed. Bring a friend, a coworker, or your whole team, and we will put you to work together.
Driving
Deliver collection boxes to partners across the Bay Area, bring them back full, and help fulfill the toy requests of the nonprofit organizations we serve. Drivers are 21 or older with a valid license and current insurance, and we can always use more of them.
Distribution
The organizations that requested toys come to collect them, and you will help load the toys for each one.

November
Preparing & Delivering Boxes
Volunteers assemble collection boxes, prepare printed materials, and help our drivers deliver supplies to partner businesses and schools.
Early to Mid-December
Unpacking & Organizing by Age
We need the most volunteers in December. As filled collection boxes return to San Jose, volunteers unpack donations, count gifts, and organize toys by age group from newborn to 17.
Mid-to-Late December
Preparing Nonprofit Orders
In the final days before Christmas, volunteers pull and stage specific age-group requests so local nonprofits, schools, and community agencies can pick up gifts for the families they serve.

Good to Know Before You Join Us
Who Can Volunteer
Volunteers must be 18 or older to sign up for a shift, and approved volunteer drivers must be 21 or older with a valid driver's license.
